Six-bed HMO in the centre of Stockport.

We transformed an unloved 4-bedroom property into a 6-bed, 5-bathroom HMO for an investor client.

This house was ideally located close to Stockport train station in Edgeley, which is an area benefiting from significant capital growth. We carried out a full internal refurbishment and structural work to create the optimum layout.

The end result was a high-spec HMO with good-sized bedrooms. The refurbishment finished in December, which is known for being the most difficult time of year to let HMO rooms, however, due to the finish of the house all rooms were let within a matter of weeks right before Christmas time came.

 

Commercial Overview

After purchasing at a negotiated price and carrying out a refurbishment to HMO standards, the investor refinanced to release their equity, resulting in a 21% ROI, continuing to benefit from a strong monthly cashflow and own an asset with strong growth potential.
