Classic bungalow flip.

This property was as a tired, scruffy one-bed bungalow which had been empty for over a year, situated in an up-and-coming area in St Helens, right on the main bus route into town.

We built a side extension under permitted development, and reconfigured the internal layout to add a second bedroom, and carried out a full refurbishment. Since the general buyers for bungalows in this area tend to be of an older demographic, we avoided going too modern with the interiors; keeping the decoration neutral and traditional, with a cream and wooden kitchen to appeal to this market.

Commercial Overview

Sale agreed before refurbishment works complete for a 20% profit on cost, and sale completed within 7 months of ownership.

Although this went on the market at quite possibly the worst time of year (early December!) we agreed a purchase before the refurbishment was even complete and we are pleased that a lovely 89 year old woman now has this as her home.
